Ever thought about the relationship between Bitcoin and AI? 🤖

Well, Former Bitmex CEO Arthur Hayes believes that bitcoin will become the preferred currency for artificial intelligence due to its digital, automated, and censorship-resistant nature.

He predicts that if AI and bitcoin intersect, the price of BTC could reach $760,000 within the next few years.

Bitcoin is the monetary instrument closest to representing pure energy.

Hayes highlights BTC's energy representation, censorship resistance, and scarcity as key factors that make it suitable for AI use.

He also discusses the potential for AI to revolutionise society by freeing individuals from mundane tasks and fostering innovation.

EXPERT OF THE DAY - MARK YUSKO 💸

Mark Yusko in his latest interview with Altcoin Daily revealed what he believes to be the greatest edge in trading and building wealth in general.

For those that don’t know Mark - he’s - a renowned American investor and hedge fund manager, who brings a refreshing perspective to the world of crypto analysis.

Moving away from conventional terms such as bear and bull market cycles, Yusko applies the concept of seasonality to the crypto market.

In his view, each crypto season lasts roughly 12-13 months and we just entered the Crypto Summer at the end of June.

He believes this is a period which will be fairly flat and slowly moving upwards up until the Bitcoin halving next year, in which we will enter Crypto Autumn, which is where we see prices move exponentially.

The great edge is the ability to be constantly looking forward. To constantly be learning from your failures … this technology is going to win and we are all going to win, but we have to keep focussing on the next play.

Because the Bitcoin halving is poised to happen in 9 months from now, this would give investors roughly the next year to stack as much crypto as possible before we see all the retail influx of capital.

When asked by Altcoin Daily what the biggest edge in crypto is, his answer was the ability to not be burnt by your previous mistakes and losses in the space, but the ability to always keep looking forward.

ON CHAIN DATA DIVE 📊

Bitcoin derivatives markets saw increased inflows in late June, driven by BlackRock ETF news and miners' hedging activities.

BTC perpetual futures open interest surged, reaching a peak since the FTX crash and growing by 12% in Q2 to approximately $8bn.

However, altcoin open interest struggled to bounce back after dropping almost 40% between June 9-14, now stagnating near multi-year lows.

Open interest for eight altcoins, including ADA, SOL, MATIC, FIL, SAND, MANA, ALGO, and AXS—subject to lawsuits on Binance and Coinbasedropped 30% in Q2 to around $480 million, with ADA, ALGO, and SAND seeing the most significant contract declines, dropping 40%.

CRACKING CRYPTO 🥜

Ripple Labs is piloting a program that tokenizes real estate assets, leveraging its CBDC platform to simplify transactions and enhance market reach. Though regulatory and security challenges exist, the initiative showcases tokenisation's potential to transform traditional asset ownership.

Crypto storage tokens, STORJ and Filecoin, outperformed Bitcoin and Ether in the first week of July, with respective gains of 15% and 12%. Despite market uncertainty, Solana's SOL also saw a significant 12% rise, although the exact cause remains unclear.

Asian nations like South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand are introducing clear crypto regulations, contrasting with the US's legal ambiguity. This regulatory clarity is attracting crypto companies to Asia, promoting innovation while the US's indecisive stance keeps its crypto landscape in flux.
