BREAKING: Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao released from custody on Friday

He’s back. 😲 

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, was released on Friday.

CZ’s release comes two days ahead of his scheduled release date this Sunday, Sep. 29.

(The Bureau of Prisons is legally allowed to release prisoners early if their release date falls on a weekend or holiday)

As a quick refresher:

In April of this year, CZ was sentenced to four months in prison.

Binance was found guilty of violating the Bank Secrecy Act by failing to set up a proper know-your-customer (KYC) program.

As part of his guilty plea, CZ agreed to pay a $50 million fine and step down as CEO of Binance.

Binance also agreed to pay a $4.3 billion fine to various US regulators as settlement.

But Binance isn’t out of the woods just yet…

The crypto exchange still faces a seperate lawsuit from the SEC, in which the SEC claims that Binance has:

• Lied to customers

• Failed to restrict US investors from accessing the exchange

• Misdirected capital to separated investment funds owned by CZ

• Operated as an unregistered securities exchange

Binance’s new CEO, Richard Teng, recently had this to say:

Bitcoin also just happens to be above $66,000 as soon as CZ is released…

NEXT 3 MONTHS 📅

Over the next 3 months, Bitcoin will cross over $100,000.

By the end of the year, it will be at $150,000.

That’s the latest prediction out from PlanB.

PlanB is an early on-chain Bitcoin analyst.

He’s most well known for his Bitcoin Stock-to-Flow model.

That model predicts an average Bitcoin price of ~$500,000 from 2024-2028.

However, in his latest update, he broke down how he see’s the rest of 2024 playing out.

October:

Next month, Plan B predicts Bitcoin will move above $70,000.

Nothing crazy.

November:

In November, Plan B has a contrarian take.

He predicts a Trump victory and Bitcoin new all-time highs.

December:

At the end of the year, Plan B predicts we will see massive ETF inflows.

This will push Bitcoin to $150,000.

A $150,000 Bitcoin by end of year may seem outrageous.

But historically, Bitcoin does perform exceptionally well in Q4.

With the uncertainty of the U.S. election soon to clear, anything is possible… 👀

NOW THIS IS BIG 📈

The Bitcoin ETFs are popping off.

Yesterday, the Bitcoin ETFs experienced net inflows of $494.4 million!

Which brings this weeks total inflows to just over $1.1 billion.

These numbers are absolutely ridiculous.

And even Grayscale had an inflow of $26.2 million. 😆 

But when you translate these flows into Bitcoin terms, things get even crazier…

Yesterday’s inflows of $494.4 million saw the Bitcoin ETFs acquire 7,526 BTC. 🤯 

And over the course of the week, the ETFs acquired 17,709 BTC.

But here’s the kicker…

Only 450 Bitcoin is mined a day. (2,250 mined from Monday - Friday)

The Bitcoin ETFs are considerably outpacing the amount of new Bitcoin entering the supply.
